This small piece is mounted on an 8x10 canvas that I painted with acrylics to mimic the hand-dyed background fabric. The grasses are couched yarns and cords. The small dragonfly is thread painted in metallic silver and the large dragonfly swoops down on wings constructed of cheesecloth and iridescent organza . Further embellishment is provided by hand embroidery with hand-dyed yarn and hand beading.SOLD
